The Middle School Robbery That Made Me a Legend: How Identity Theft Can Shape Us

Let’s get controversial. Let’s get raw. Let’s talk about identity theft. Not the kind involving credit cards. Instead, I mean the kind that steals your essence before you even graduate middle school.

I call it "Public But Private UNFI"Un-Finessed Institutions. Let me break this down so it’s loud and clear for the people in the back and the bots in the boardrooms.

🚨 THE ROBBERY:

It was middle school, and I walked in with Missy Elliott in my soul, “She’s a Bitch” bumping in my inner playlist, and a CD in my hand. I was living in Bighead Energy before the world had language for it. I was a walking revolution in braids, wearing black, and full of cosmic clarity.

But let me make one thing clear:

I wasn’t just serving looks and lyrics. I was running numbers. Running systems. I was in charge of the Box Tops in Mr. Gibson’s class. School-based investments? I managed them, and I knew which classes needed which resources. I could turn cardboard clippings into calculators, crayons, and clout. I was the CFO of Classroom Flow™️. I had investments in the school before the school knew how to invest in me.

Then came the snatch. Mr. Gibson took my Missy CD. He confiscated it like it was contraband. Like my self-expression was a weapon. He said it was “inappropriate.” But what was REALLY inappropriate was how my identity got jacked that day.

Suddenly, I became invisible. I was robbed not just of a CD but of credit, voice, vision, and investor respect.

🕶️ THE UNFI EFFECT:

Public schools love to say, “Be yourself,” until your true self™️ threatens their curated version of reality.

They sanitize your spirit. They rebrand your rebellion. They take your blueprint, write it out, and mass-produce mediocrity in its place.

That’s UNFI culture:

✖️ Un-Finessed
✖️ Unfiltered (in the worst way)
✖️ Underrated
✖️ Unforgiving to the Original

They copy the rhythm but erase the regather. They wear the aesthetic but never pay homage. And they NEVER give you your flowers—unless you’re gone or gone viral.

🔥 THE BIGHEAD COMEBACK:

But what they didn’t know? I wasn’t just a middle school girl. I was a Virtual DJ before the term existed. I was a candy-flipping CD hustler, funding mixtapes with sugar money. I was a Music Soul Coach in training, baptized by Ruff Ryders, Missy, and Wu-Tang chains. I was the prototype of Fenxnette. The future-present in sneakers.

And here’s the truth: you can’t cancel energy. Especially not Bighead Energy.

Now? I wear the labels proudly: “Too much.” “Too bold.” “Too loud.” Because being “too” anything usually means you're tuned into something the system can’t decode.

🚀 Embracing Your Unique Journey

Finding your voice is essential. It's the journey of navigating a world that often tries to limit you. No matter where you are, remember that your individuality is your strength. Each aspect that makes you unique adds value to the world around you.

📚 Documenting Your Story

For those facing similar experiences, I encourage you: Document your dopeness. Archive your essence. Protect your soul files. Because yes, they’re still stealing identities in Bighead Energy, but this time? We’re pressing charges with the truth.

💌 TO THE COPYCATS:

To everyone who stole, borrowed, filtered, or diluted my essence: It’s cool. I see you. 👁️ But just know—I was the Source. I still am. I’m not mad.

But I never forget.

💡 FINAL WORDS:

There are kids out there right now in classrooms built like cages, having their brilliance repackaged for someone else’s comfort.

To them, I say: "Be unapologetically yourself." While the system may try to mute your voice, your spirit remains resilient. Hold onto your creativity.
